Team Leader - Green Space Maintenance

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Leader to lead our team in maintaining and enhancing green spaces across various council-controlled roadsides and open spaces.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.

  • Lead a team of gardeners and grounds maintenance staff to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Operate various mowing equipment safely and efficiently, including zero turn mowers and other specialist machinery.
  • Maintain and perform regular inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure lawns and green spaces are maintained to a high standard, meeting the expectations of residents and visitors alike.
  • Complete service requests as required, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in gardening, spraying, brush cutting, and zero turn mowing.
  • A valid manual driver's licence and white card.

  • Punctuality and reliability, with a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • A willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
