Job Responsibilities

As a Data or STEM Graduate, you will be part of providing data and insights on all matters of domestic, economic, social, and international policy. You will work closely with core teams to improve policy through bespoke analysis, creating custom data tools, and procuring data from across the government and the private sector.

Some of your tasks may include:

  • Supporting policy initiatives to identify regions vulnerable to disruption during transition
  • Producing briefs on key indicators used by senior government officials
  • Developing reporting products like briefs, forward plans, Horizon Scan Products, or priority one-pagers
  • Engaging with stakeholders impacted by decarbonisation, understanding their needs, and advising on how to respond
  • Producing work using software development tools including git
Qualifications and Skills

Our graduates come from various academic disciplines with diverse experiences and backgrounds. To succeed in our program, you need to be curious, driven, and willing to work both independently and as part of a team. You should enjoy problem-solving, collaborating, and offering innovative thinking and approaches.

To apply, you must have completed your university degree within the last eight years or be in your final year of study. You must also be an Australian citizen and willing to relocate to Canberra, undergoing police, character, and health checks as required.
