Job Title: Data Scientist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our data strategy group, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions.

About the Position:

  • You will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to gain insights and identify trends.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement business intelligence solutions.
  • You will develop and maintain databases, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • You will create interactive dashboards to visualize complex data sets.
  • You will communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • You will collaborate with subject matter experts to gather requirements and provide input on analytics projects.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in exploring, gathering, refining, transforming, and analysing data, with a strong focus on data quality and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of some labour force and skills datasets, such as ANZSCO, ANZSIC, Labour Force Survey data, NCVER data, Higher Education data, or others.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work to short deadlines and manage competing priorities of varying complexity and urgency.
  • 1-2 years' experience in data visualisation using tools such as Excel, Power BI, R Shiny, etc.
