Job Title: Senior Investment Strategist

The role of Senior Investment Strategist is pivotal in the Total Portfolio team at Aware Super. As a collaborative and informed approach, our total portfolio model enables effective investment trade-offs.

Working closely with sector teams including Infrastructure, Property, Private Equity, Credit Income, Fixed Income and Public Market Equities, the Total Portfolio team is responsible for:

  • Strategic asset allocation of Aware's investment options.
  • Evolution of decision-making frameworks informing our total portfolio approach across all investment options.
  • Option-level management decisions such as foreign exchange settings, portfolio completion and liquidity profiles.

As Senior Investment Strategist in the Total Portfolio team, you'll contribute to the strategic management of Aware Super's investment platform. This role combines portfolio oversight, data-driven decision-making, and cross-team collaboration to support capital allocation and risk management while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Supporting portfolio implementation, FX exposure management, and automation of operational workflows.
  • Contribution to total portfolio governance, research initiatives, and data analysis.
  • Collaboration with sector teams and internal stakeholders to deliver strategic investment outcomes.
  • Identification of process inefficiencies and driving improvements through documentation and resilience-building.
  • Upholding risk awareness and compliance standards, raising concerns and incidents as needed.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Asset Management within superannuation and RSE regulatory frameworks.
  • Portfolio rebalancing, workflow automation, and database management.
  • Data analytics and tool development using SQL, Matlab, R or Python.
  • Leading projects and working effectively across multi-stakeholder environments.
