Senior Manager, Account Development Lead

About the Role
The Senior Manager, Account Development role is a high-visibility position that requires a strong leader to manage a team of Account Development Representatives. The Account Development mission is to identify new business opportunities in strategic accounts, engaging with clients to increase awareness of new OpenText products and solutions across diverse industries.
As a Senior Manager, you will lead a high-performing team that works cross-functionally across field marketing, sales, and solution consulting. The role requires a team manager who can lead members to be goal-oriented, self-driven, creative, persistent, energetic, and positive.
This role reports to the APAC Regional Vice President of Field Marketing and partners with Regional Marketing Directors and Regional Sales VPs and their teams. At OpenText, we aim to be the best at everything we do, and the Account Development function is no exception.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a passionate account development team, coaching, mentoring the team, and exceed pipeline and revenue goals.
- Partner with field marketing, sales, and solution consulting to ensure the sales pipeline remains full of qualified opportunities that convert to revenue.
- Manage employee productivity to ensure the team achieves daily goals and monthly/quarterly targets.
- Lead management and execution of "sales plays" within account development to drive proactive outbound leads.
- Manage the marketing funnel and work the mid-end of the funnel to drive tangible sales-qualified opportunities from marketing-qualified leads.
- Manage the account development process and look for continuous areas of improvement.
- Report back to management and key stakeholders across sales and pre-sales on KPIs.
- A people leader, manage employee performance reviews and development plans.
- Champion special projects around new initiatives.
Requirements
- Experienced people manager, strong in managing multi-cultural/diverse teams.
- Leading an inside sales/account development/lead development team.
- Sales play management that ties back into business strategy.
- Funnel management to drive tangible sales-qualified opportunities from marketing-qualified leads.
- Strong communication, writing, presentation, and persuasive skills.
- Good understanding of enterprise software.
- Strong work ethic and lead by example.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- 10-15 years related experience/related degree.
