About the Role

This position involves working collaboratively to build confidence in using our systems and technology.

We are seeking a specialist to play an important role in supporting operations at one of Australia's largest open-cut coal mines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising operational departments on training requirements for material risk control and legislative compliance.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop and review training content and assessments.
  • Maintaining a Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
  • Providing mentoring, coaching, and support to On-the-Job Trainers, Assessors, and Training Administrators.
  • Generating and analysing training data and conducting training audits.
  • Designing and developing training packages to meet operational plans.
About You

You will bring a mix of technical skills and a collaborative approach.

  • Experience in training administration or specialist roles is required.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is necessary.
  • Proficiency in using a Learning Management System is essential.
  • Understanding of AQF and ASQA requirements is vital.
  • Industry knowledge to support the planning and development of effective training materials is required.
  • Ability to balance business needs with practical solutions.
  • Capability to provide advice on legislative training and licensing requirements with a supportive approach.
  • Strong skills in Excel and Outlook with attention to detail.
  • Well-developed organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
