About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Allied Health Clinician to join our team at Flourish Australia's Queanbeyan Mental Health Hub. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based assessment and treatment to individuals accessing our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with mental health issues, working collaboratively with them and their families to develop recovery plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and initial screenings to determine individual care needs, providing counseling and producing assessment reports as required.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making, working closely with other stakeholders and services to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external service providers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Report on individual progress and outcomes, using relevant data systems to inform care planning and service development.
  • Write professional reports and maintain accurate progress notes, utilizing electronic databases to ensure efficient record-keeping.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our service, aligning with our strategic plan and client needs.
Requirements
  • Possession of tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Counselling, or other allied health disciplines recognized by the tertiary mental health services sector.
  • Eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body, including AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, as a registered or endorsed Psychologist, accredited Social Worker, Counsellor, or Mental Health Nurse.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake assessment and initial screening activities, provide counseling, produce assessment reports, and assist individuals accessing the service to access necessary services.
  • Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of recovery-focused and family-inclusive practice.
  • Have a clear understanding and/or knowledge of the concept and impact of mental health issues in the community.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to impart knowledge in a learning environment.
  • Have a high degree of computer literacy, including experience with report writing and electronic client information management systems.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
