About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatal Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Gidget Foundation Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering face-to-face psychological support to expectant and new parents at our Gidget House site in Queanbeyan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapies to individuals, couples, and parent-infant dyads.
  • Work within a recovery-oriented model, utilizing a person-centered approach to support clients.
  • Develop and maintain effective caseload management strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in perinatal mental health.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in perinatal mental health, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
  • AHPRA registration with endorsements in psychology or accreditation as a mental health social worker.
  • Proven ability to work independently under approved professional supervision.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
