Job Title: Mechanical Systems Designer

A key opportunity to make a real impact in healthcare by working on the design of complex electro-mechanical systems. The successful candidate will lead system architecture, collaborate with clients, and mentor engineers to deliver breakthrough diagnostic products.

About the Role

The Principal Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for leading the design of complex electro-mechanical systems for breakthrough diagnostic products. This includes consulting with clients to capture requirements, constraints, and engineering criteria, then architecting system designs that meet business, technical, and regulatory goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure designs are robust, compliant, and delivered on time.
  • Mentor engineers to foster technical excellence, quality, and manufacturability.
Required Qualifications
  • Accredited Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent (Master's or PhD highly regarded).
  • 8+ years industrial experience in product development, ideally in medical diagnostic instrument and device development or similarly complex electro-mechanical products.
  • Demonstrated expertise in design transfer and manufacturing establishment.
  • Familiarity with working to ISO13845 or ISO 9001.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and project management capabilities.
