Design Mechanical Systems for a Sustainable Future

As a BIM Designer | Mechanical, you will play a key role in delivering high-performance and resilient facilities that support the digital economy.

This role involves collaborating with mechanical engineers to produce coordinated BIM models and detailed documentation across all project stages. Using Revit, you will model complex mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, chilled and condenser water systems, air distribution, and mechanical plant layouts.

You will be responsible for supporting project delivery from concept to construction, ensuring model accuracy, constructability, and compliance with BIM standards and mechanical design codes. Additionally, you will assist in developing and maintaining BIM execution plans specific to mechanical systems in data centre projects.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions
  • Modelling complex mechanical systems using Revit
  • Ensuring model accuracy and constructability
  • Developing and maintaining BIM execution plans

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 4+ years of experience as a BIM Designer/Modeller in building services, ideally within mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, or BIM360 is a plus
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC, and mechanical systems in large-scale or mission-critical facilities
