Lead Mechanical Innovator

Do you want to drive meaningful innovation in healthcare? We're looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of complex electro-mechanical systems. As a seasoned professional, you will leverage your expertise to create breakthrough diagnostic products.

About the Opportunity

As a key member of our Diagnostics team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality products that meet business, technical, and regulatory goals. Your exceptional problem-solving skills and leadership abilities will enable you to mentor engineers, foster technical excellence, and promote best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop system architectures for complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Consult with clients to capture key requirements and constraints
  • Direct cross-functional engineering teams to ensure designs are robust, compliant, and delivered on time and on budget
  • Mentor engineers to foster technical excellence and quality
Requirements
  • Accredited Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent (Master's or PhD highly regarded)
  • 8+ years industrial experience in product development, ideally in medical diagnostic instrument and device development or similarly complex electro-mechanical products
  • Demonstrated expertise in design transfer and manufacturing establishment
  • Familiarity with working to ISO standards
  • Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and project management capabilities
