The Opportunity

Owing to exponential growth, we're seeking an ESG Specialist (equivalent to a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Big4 consulting) to join our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) team in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, or Brisbane.

As an ESG Specialist, you'll deliver strategic ESG and risk solutions, provide effective communication to clients, maintain key relationships, and contribute to the growth and development of the Risk Advisory practice and ESG team in Australia.

Your work will include advising clients on developing and implementing strategic planning and ESG risk frameworks, assessing risk programs, reviewing sustainability-related governance frameworks, and designing compliance programs.

Previous experience in projects, social performance, energy transition, sustainability risk mitigation, native title, Aboriginal cultural heritage, or land access approvals is highly desirable.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of specialized ESG/sustainability experience, ideally within a respected consulting or private practice legal environment
  • Comfortable with common tools, frameworks, and standards in this space
  • Self-starter with a proactive, confident, and humble approach to work
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality work for clients and stakeholders, including sustainability programs and projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience writing business documents, including reports, letters, and proposals
