About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Meetings & Events Coordinator to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing conferences and events from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conference and Event Planning: Prepare conference proposals and contracts, covering venue, function, menu, and accommodation costs.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate the entire cycle of conference and events from enquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Familiarisation and Site Inspection: Co-ordinate and host familiarisation and site inspection activities, including follow-up in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Budget Management: Achieve budget targets relative to the conference and events department.
  • Telemarketing and Client Development: Assist in telemarketing for new clients and define their potential to the business.
  • Conference Collateral Material: Co-ordination and production of conference collateral material, in liaison with the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Event Order Meetings: Lead weekly Banquets Event Order meetings and co-ordinate between conferencing and other relevant departments to ensure that preparations for conferences have been made.
Requirements
  • Event Management Experience: Experience in event management roles within a dynamic and busy environment.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in event management.
  • Creative Flair: A creative flair and a natural ability to generate ideas to engage our guests.
  • Design Skills: Be comfortable designing collateral.
  • Teamwork and Communication: The ability to work within a team and build rapport with all departments in the business.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized self-starter with the ability to effectively manage priorities.
  • Professional Image: Projects a professional image through presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to think on their feet and problem solve.
  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills with fluency in English on a business level; additional languages are a plus.
  • Work Visa: Unlimited working rights in Australia are a must. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided.
