Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Meetings & Events Coordinator to join our Sales & Marketing team at Accor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating all aspects of conference and events sales and coordination, including proposal preparation, contract management, and site inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conference and Events Sales: Prepare and present conference proposals and contracts to clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of services.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate the entire cycle of conference and events from enquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring client satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
  • Site Inspections and Familiarization: Co-ordinate and host familiarisation and site inspection activity, including follow-up in conjunction with sales team.
  • Budget Management: Achieve budget targets relative to the conference and events department.
  • Telemarketing and Client Engagement: Assist in telemarketing for new clients and define their potential to the business.
  • Conference Collateral Material: Co-ordination and production of conference collateral material, in liaison with the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead weekly Banquets Event Order meetings and co-ordinate between conferencing and other relevant departments to ensure that preparations for conferences have been made.

Requirements:

  • Event Management Experience: Experience in event management roles within a dynamic and busy environment.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in event management.
  • Creative Flair: A creative flair and a natural ability to generate ideas to engage our guests.
  • Design Skills: Be comfortable designing collateral.
  • Teamwork and Communication: The ability to work within a team and build report with all departments in the business.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organised self-starter with the ability to effectively manage priorities.
  • Professional Image: Projects a professional image through presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Have the ability to think on their feet and problem solve.
  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills with fluency in English on a business level; additional languages are a plus.
  • Appearance and Grooming: A high standard of grooming and presentation.
  • Work Visa: Unlimited working rights in Australia a must. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided.
