This role provides an opportunity to work closely with clients, drive practical outcomes, and handle complex matters with multiple stakeholders.

About the Position

As a senior legal professional, you will be responsible for managing general legal matters primarily in relation to areas of governance, delegations, probity, investigations, and inquiries. This includes providing solutions-focused independent advice to support organisational outcomes, minimising legal risk, and delivering on our commitment to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with clients to drive practical outcomes, handling complex matters with multiple stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.
  • Successfully manage stakeholders and work with the broader legal team to ensure objectives are met.
About You

As an experienced lawyer, you hold a practising certificate in NSW, with a minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience and significant experience in or advising government. Your advanced written and verbal communication skills enable you to convey legal concepts clearly and succinctly.

As a seasoned drafter, negotiator, and communicator, you will work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve organisational outcomes. Your passion for law and enthusiasm for working on diverse matters make you an ideal fit for this role.
