Patient Care Coordinator Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.

This role involves greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, completing new patient registration and data entry, discussing insurance benefits and payment responsibilities, and collecting patient balances.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients warmly and welcomingly.
  • Answer phone calls professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently and organized.
  • Complete new patient registration and data entry accurately and efficiently.
  • Discuss insurance benefits, authorization requirements, and payment responsibilities with patients.
  • Collect patient balances (copay/deductible/coinsurance) accurately and professionally.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills and ability to learn new software systems.
