We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our esteemed Italian fine dining restaurant as a Sommelier.


Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with exceptional wine knowledge to contribute to the success of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating comprehensive wine lists, recommending food and wine pairings, and providing superior service to guests.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Wine List Development: Collaborate with chefs and the Head Sommelier to design and maintain a diverse and up-to-date wine list that caters to various tastes and preferences.
  • Personalized Wine Recommendations: Offer bespoke wine suggestions based on guest preferences and food choices, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
  • Wine Service: Ensure wines are served at the optimal temperature and in suitable glassware, highlighting the unique characteristics of each wine.
  • Wine Cellar Management: Maintain a fully stocked and organized wine cellar, guaranteeing seamless access to a wide range of wines.
  • Training and Development: Educate wait staff on available wines, their origins, and characteristics, fostering a culture of excellence and expertise within the team.


Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward, or equivalent role.
  • The ability to craft harmonious food and wine pairings that delight the palate.
  • In-depth knowledge of various wines, including their regions of origin, grape varieties, and winemaking techniques.
  • A solid understanding of the winemaking process and its impact on wine quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and colleagues alike.
  • Minimum WSET level 2 or equivalent certification, demonstrating a high level of wine expertise.
