Functional Architect Job Summary

The Functional Architect is the go-to implementation leader who provides expert guidance and delivery for functional area engagements. This individual serves as the billable functional leader on Workday implementations, overseeing multiple concurrent projects across all functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide functional leadership on multiple Workday implementations, ensuring efficient and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solution.
  • Act as a sounding board and provide ad-hoc advice for engagement managers and leads, serving as an advocate and escalation point for issues.
  • Mentor junior project resources by providing guidance and allowing them to learn new skills and functional areas.
  • Ensure cohesive structures and project communications are in place for cross-functional delivery between various areas.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Current Workday Certification and certified in at least two subspecialties in addition to their area.
  • Completed minimum 3-5 full lifecycle Workday Implementations.
