Medium-Term Planning Specialist

Contribute to the performance of a top Australian underground copper operation by taking on a critical planning role.
About This Opportunity- The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience in underground mining, preferably with exposure to both production and planning roles.
- Proficiency in Deswik CAD and Deswik Sched software, along with proven experience creating mine designs and integrated schedules.
- A solid understanding of ventilation, drill & blast, and backfill designs for underground settings.
- Develop practical and optimised medium-term mine plans, development designs, and rolling schedules that align with annual budget targets and de-risk operational performance.
- Design and optimise development layouts within a 3-36-month timeframe, considering capital and operational requirements.
- Communicate design intent effectively to short-term planners to ensure weekly and shift plans align with medium-term goals.
- Support short-term scheduling teams by providing design guidance, context, and technical input.
- Maintain and manage the design master file for all medium-term planning inputs.
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure designs are practical and achievable.
