E-Learning Specialist for Dementia Education

The University of Tasmania's Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre is a world-renowned institution that prioritizes dementia education. As an Academic Educational Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging e-learning materials tailored to diverse audiences and scalable learning outcomes.
About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Academic Educational Designer to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and delivering high-quality educational content, conducting research, and collaborating with subject matter experts.
As an Academic Educational Designer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and evaluating online educational materials suited to diverse audiences;
- Collaborating with academic and subject matter experts to create visually engaging content aligned with educational needs and objectives;
- Conducting research on current best practices in education, including the creation of effective professional learning programs;
- Developing and implementing comprehensive evaluation plans to assess the impact of online education;
To be successful in this role, you must possess a PhD in educational development or a related field and demonstrate expertise in conducting research, collaborating with experts, and applying contemporary pedagogy and curriculum design theory and practice.

Salary and BenefitsThis appointment will be made at Academic Level B, with a total remuneration package of up to $150,759, comprising a base salary within the range of $110,992 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation.
What We're Looking For- A PhD in educational development or a related field;
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting research, including data collection and analysis, leading to successful publication in peer-reviewed journals;
- Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with academic and subject matter experts to design and develop visually engaging content that aligns with educational needs and objectives;
- An understanding of current best practices in education concerning the creation of effective professional learning programs;
- Proven initiative and ability to manage complex tasks simultaneously;
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply contemporary pedagogy and curriculum design theory and practice.
