We are seeking an experienced Strategic Communications and Partnership Officer to join our team at the University of Tasmania's Wicking Dementia Centre. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Project Manager to cultivate relationships with industry, government, and not-for-profit organisations to promote our educational programs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. You will be responsible for identifying prospective users of our education and related offerings, developing relationships, and communicating the benefits. This will require a strong understanding of the aged care sector, online education, communication styles, stakeholder engagement, and stakeholder management.
In this role, you will:
- Support the identification and development of strategic external relationships and networks with industry, community, and peak bodies in the health, aged, and dementia care sectors to drive engagement in our short course education programs.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including academic and professional staff, to understand and showcase their projects, educational, and research in innovative and contemporary ways.
- Provide industry insights; undertake environmental analysis of state, national, and international health policy, industry, funding, and competitor environments;
- In collaboration with our Engagement Coordinator, generate compelling and accurate content for diverse channels, showcasing your ability to craft messages that resonate with large and varied audiences across traditional and digital platforms.
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of systems to manage and report on engagement activity, enhancing integration across our educational offerings and related services.
- In collaboration with our Engagement and Administrative staff, provide coordination support to arrange and deliver public events and community engagement activities.
This is a fixed-term position until December 2026. The salary range is AU$89,091 - AU$96,606 per annum, plus superannuation. If you are motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about working in the field of ageing and dementia care, we encourage you to apply.
