Job Overview

As a Commercial Asset Optimization Specialist with Smith+Nephew, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial and financial improvements across ANZ Ortho Loan & Consignment assets (fleet) and inventory. You will work closely with regional teams to implement process improvements that deliver sales and inventory targets, while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Optimize Inventory Management: Analyze infield stock utilization at a customer level, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies to increase efficiency.
  2. Asset Optimization: Collaborate with regional teams to embed Ortho International Regional asset optimization workstreams into local plans, ensuring alignment with business growth and asset efficiency goals.
  3. Loan Pool Management: Drive changes to improve loan pool efficiency, productivity, and customer experience by implementing best practices.
  4. Supply Chain Expertise: Provide mentorship on allocation logic and rebalancing stock within the supply chain, supporting forecasting efforts and Capex planning.
  5. SAP Improvement: Act as a subject matter expert to articulate business requirements for SAP and other system improvements, ensuring standard business practices are supported and executable.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure processes adhere to local regulations and policies for consignment counts and address walking implants.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree: In Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly desirable.
  2. Analytical Skills: Ability to simplify complex raw data, drive team execution, and deliver results.
  3. Leadership Experience: Strong ability to connect with external and internal customers, exhibit excellent people leadership skills, and manage PC skills - Microsoft Office.
  4. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with orthopaedic product portfolios and associated procedures is a significant plus.
  5. Technical Expertise: Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an added advantage.
About Your Role
