Urban Planner Specialist

We're seeking a Senior Consultant to join our team on the Gold Coast. As a key member, you'll support clients by providing sound statutory urban planning advice and insights.

• Lead or contribute to the preparation of Material Change of Use and ROL development applications, as well as Ministerial Infrastructure Designations, Variation Application, TLPIS and planning input into including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies and supporting technical inputs.
• Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities, market trends, and stakeholder/client needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in the fields of economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare and review reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
• C coach and develop individuals within the team, as appropriate.

• You hold tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
• You have a minimum 5 years' experience within an Urban Planning firm-based environment.
• You possess strong knowledge of strategic planning and statutory planning, guided by related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment.
• You have a proficient appreciation and understanding of statutory planning policies, processes and influences.
• You have a proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
