Join Our Team As A Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to lead quality assurance efforts within an Agile scrum team. This role will ensure robust test coverage and effective defect management, with a focus on EFTPOS technology and payment industry standards.

About The Role

This is a 12-month contract opportunity in Sydney or Melbourne based company. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative culture where new ideas are encouraged and collaboration is key.

  • You will lead quality assurance efforts within an Agile scrum team, ensuring robust test coverage and effective defect management, with a focus on EFTPOS technology and payment industry standards.
  • You will work in an Agile Scrum team, taking ownership of Quality Assurance activities and actively contributing to Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Estimation, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
  • You will develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to the SAFe Agile environment.
  • You will create, review, and execute test cases, managing defects efficiently in Jira.
  • You will analyze test results, report defects promptly, and proactively minimize production issues by ensuring robust test coverage.
Your Responsibilities
  • You will have 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years of EFTPOS payments testing experience.
  • You will have strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and SDLC.
  • You will have good knowledge in card payments, including financial messaging standards (ISO 8583, AS2805).
  • You will have experience with scheme certifications (Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, UPI, etc.).
  • You will have proficiency of requirements analysis, test planning, and test environment setup.
  • You will have proficiency test case creation, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
  • You will have hands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira and X-Ray.
