About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Quality Improvement Officer to join our Clinical Governance Team in a permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE) position, based in Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in implementing and operationalizing our Clinical Governance Framework, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality and excellence across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Clinical Quality Programs: Develop and implement clinical quality programs across all clinical areas, ensuring compliance with national standards and best practices.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Coordinate and lead clinical accreditations, such as NSQHS and AGPAL, to ensure our clinical practices meet the highest standards of excellence.
  • Clinical Audits: Design and implement clinical audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure effective implementation of our Clinical Governance Framework.
  • Consumer Engagement: Support the implementation of our Consumer Engagement Strategy, ensuring that our patients and stakeholders are at the forefront of our clinical decision-making.
  • Policies and Procedures: Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with our Clinical Governance Framework and national standards.
  • Clinical Risk Management: Coordinate safety, quality, and clinical risk activities to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health-related discipline, with AHPRA registration (desired but not essential).
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or quality improvement role.
  • Skills: Strong background in patient safety or clinical leadership, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and intermediate to advanced computer skills.
