Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Quality and Compliance Officer. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring a robust clinical and operational governance framework is in place across St Vincent's Care.

The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with Australian Aged Care Quality Agency Accreditation Standards and manage risks as part of the quality framework.

This is a 9-month maternity leave position, commencing July 2024, working part-time (45 hrs per fortnight, 8am-4pm business days with some out of hours for project work). The role offers fantastic work-life flexibility, with hybrid working arrangements (Bowen Hills Office- Residential Aged Care Facilities- working from home).

The ideal candidate will have a Registered Nursing Degree with unrestricted AHPRA registration, minimum of 2 years' experience in residential aged care, and a comprehensive understanding of aged care Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and review business Policies & Procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards & legislation.
  • Support the Team Leader in identifying new initiatives to improve sustainability in the unit.
  • Manage policies & procedures and support other Services Delivery Governance teams' requirements or systems.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nursing Degree with unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential aged care
  • Comprehensive understanding of aged care Quality Standards
  • Previous experience in the development of policies and processes
  • Proficiency in clinical management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Stakeholder management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in implementing a care management system or upgrades – adherence to schedule and scope
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work both as a team player and on their own
  • Energetic, dynamic, with effective time management skills
  • Current National Police Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role
  • Willingness to travel as needed
