Senior Transportation Specialist

KBR, Inc. is expanding its transport infrastructure presence in South Australia and seeks an experienced transportation expert to lead this growth.

This is a strategic opportunity to build a team, shape our market offering, and establish yourself as a future leader of our transport business in Adelaide.

As part of our Civil Infrastructure team, you will play a central role in developing local capability, fostering client relationships, and delivering complex and high-profile road and highway projects.

  • Build and lead a high-performing Adelaide-based transport team, mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Delve major roads and highways projects from concept to detailed design.
  • Leverage your market knowledge and network to help grow our business across South Australia.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Oversee project operations, including quality assurance, risk mitigation, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with clients, government bodies, and stakeholders to deliver integrated and innovative solutions.

We are seeking someone with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent);
  • Strong local industry knowledge and established networks in the South Australian transport sector;
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams;
  • Proven success in delivering large-scale roads and highways infrastructure projects;
  • Expertise in 12D, AutoCAD, and comprehensive understanding of Austroads and DIT standards;
  • A collaborative, commercially minded professional with a passion for growing a business.
