Asset Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies to optimize performance and delivery on business objectives.
  2. Oversee the maintenance and repair of university facilities, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of sustainability, safety, and service.
  3. Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational efficiency and cost savings.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including university staff, students, and external partners.
  5. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the effective management of university assets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior operational management role.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple sites.
  • Confidence working both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Practical maintenance knowledge (carpentry, plumbing, basic repairs).
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
