We are seeking an experienced Infection Control Clinical Nurse to join our team at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital. This is a permanent part-time position, with flexible hours available.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing infection control and prevention strategies in alignment with best practice standards. They will promote and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies, as well as monitor antimicrobial stewardship. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing effective infection control measures to prevent the spread of infections among patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintaining accurate records of infection rates and surveillance data.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures related to infection control.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current Registered Nurse qualification and AHPRA registration.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Infection Control or a related field.
  • Recent experience as an Infection Control Nurse, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
