About the Role

The position of Infection Control Clinical Nurse at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on patient care.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for implementing infection control strategies and promoting compliance with relevant standards and legislation.

You will work closely with healthcare professionals to monitor and manage critical incidents, detect and report nosocomial infections, and analyze data to determine epidemiological trends.

This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving outcomes through effective infection prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement infection control strategies and promote compliance with relevant standards and legislation
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to monitor and manage critical incidents and nosocomial infections
  • Analyze data to determine epidemiological trends and inform infection prevention strategies
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective infection prevention
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve patient care and outcomes
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Registered Nurse qualification with AHPRA registration
  • A postgraduate qualification in Infection Control or a related field
  • Recent experience as an Infection Control Nurse is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
