Job Title

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Youth Engagement Peer Worker to support young people aged 16-25 who have a diagnosed mental illness.

About the Role:

  • Identify, develop, co-facilitate and evaluate opportunities that support young people to access appropriate groups within the community.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external providers, enhancing the experience of young people.
  • Use your personal and peer experience of mental health challenges as a young person and/or youth mental health service use.
  • Ensure accurate client health records are upheld and all interactions with young people are recorded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or commensurate work experience in fields related to mental health, youth and peer work.
  • 3+ years' experience working as a peer worker engaging with young people who may have a range of complex needs relating to their mental health.
  • Demonstrated experience in group codesign, development, facilitation and evaluation.
  • Strong belief and alignment in values and mission.
