Young People's Mental Health Support Specialist

Supporting young people on their journey to recovery is a rewarding experience that requires empathy and expertise.
About the Role- This part-time position involves working with our BounceBack program, providing mental health and wellbeing support for individuals aged 12–25.
The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in mental health, AOD, psychology, social work, youth work or a related field, and have experience supporting young people in fast-paced clinical or community settings.
You will be responsible for assessing referrals, delivering brief therapeutic support, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure young people receive the right care at the right time.
The successful applicant will possess strong risk assessment, intake, and referral skills, as well as the ability to engage and provide a safe space for young people and their families during times of distress.

Key Responsibilities- Manage incoming referrals, phone enquiries, and email intake
- Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed brief support and consultations
- Complete clinical documentation and risk assessments
