
Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist

A highly skilled Allied Health Professional is sought to lead a rehabilitation program and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people who have experienced traumatic injuries.
The ideal candidate will work closely with children, their families, and allied health staff throughout the rehabilitation process. Key responsibilities include leading the rehab program, liaising with medical staff, gathering and interpreting information, and presenting it to parents and guardians so they can make informed decisions.
As a Rehabilitation Program Lead, you will advise and assist children, families, and allied health staff through the rehabilitation process. You will work within an interdisciplinary team advocating for the patient's needs and ensuring access to relevant services.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Hold a Degree in an Allied Health Profession with AHPRA registration or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience working as an Allied Health Professional with children, adolescents, and their families.
- Understand brain injuries and their effects on children and adolescents and their families.
- Be knowledgeable about the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Lifetime Care and Support scheme, and willing to be an Approved Case Manager (Lifetime Care and Support).
- possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and complex negotiation skills.
- Hold a full clean Australian driver's license and be able to travel as required by your caseload.
- Have the ability to obtain a Police Clearance/Criminal Records Check/WWCC.
