BaptistCare is seeking a skilled Handyperson/Gardener to join our Home Modifications team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing timely and quality maintenance and modification services to the residential properties of the aged and their carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform lawn mowing and gardening tasks to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct general home maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the properties are safe and secure.
  • Work independently with limited supervision to complete jobs within set timeframes.
  • Utilize your trade qualification or background in building maintenance/carpentry to provide expert services.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and their carers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve our goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in lawn mowing and gardening, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • General home maintenance and repair skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Trade qualification or background in building maintenance/carpentry.
  • Experience working in an aged care environment, with a strong understanding of the needs and preferences of older adults.
  • Current driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with a strong focus on physical safety.
