About the Role

BaptistCare is seeking a skilled Handyperson/Gardener to join our Home Modifications team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing timely and quality maintenance and modification services to residential properties of the aged and their carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform lawn mowing and gardening tasks to maintain high standards of property presentation
  • Conduct general home maintenance and repair tasks to ensure properties are safe and secure
  • Work independently with limited supervision to complete tasks within set timeframes
  • Utilize trade skills and experience to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Previous experience in lawn mowing and gardening (highly preferred)
  • General home maintenance and repair skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Trade qualification or background in building maintenance/carpentry (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working within an aged care environment (desirable)
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
