About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager to join our IFRS Advisory team. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical accounting support to audit and client-facing engagement teams, review and assist with financial statement disclosures, and provide specialist technical advice on the application of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical accounting support to audit and client-facing engagement teams as required.
  2. Review and assist with financial statement disclosures.
  3. Provision of specialist technical advice on the application of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards to clients in relation to complex transactions.
  4. Working with clients to prepare high-quality financial statements.
  5. Implementing services of new accounting standards.
  6. Prepare and deliver client accounting seminars and training as required.
  7. Research into and development of responses to changes in IFRS accounting standards.
  8. Assist with the growth of the IFRS Advisory team through the development of a suitable professional profile and other marketing and business development activities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong interest and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
  2. Sound knowledge in carbon accounting and/or sustainability reporting would be highly advantageous.
  3. Genuine interest in ESG or a strong desire to work in Sustainability & Decarbonisation Strategy engagements.
  4. Experience in analysing accounting issues and presenting viable solutions.
  5. Strong client and stakeholder focus.
  6. CA or CPA qualifications would be well regarded.
  7. Clear and effective communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills.
