At Australian Venue Co., we are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the month-end process, focusing on Head Office departments and labour costs.
  • Preparing management reports and analyzing Head Office costs, including identifying and explaining causes of variances to budget.
  • Assisting with the annual Head Office budget-setting process.
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, including investigating material reconciling items.
  • Working with the Financial Accounting team to prepare monthly board reports and annual financial reports.
  • Coordinating the audit process and responding to queries as needed.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • CA or CPA qualification with 2-3 years of experience in a large or mid-tier accounting firm or a similar role in industry.
  • Experience with financial reporting obligations and the audit process.
  • Proficiency in accounting applications and ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
