Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Pharmacist to lead and provide expert clinical pharmacy support to Oncology and Haematology services, ensuring safe prescribing, preparation, and administration of systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).

As a Senior Pharmacist, you will collaborate with Consultants, Nurses, and Multidisciplinary teams to optimise treatment outcomes and develop quality improvement activities or projects to enhance pharmacy practice or services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Currently registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with post-registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience.
  • Demonstrated high-level skills and experience as a clinical pharmacist in oncology and haematology, relevant legislation, and ability to apply these skills in practice.
  • Staff management experience in a public hospital environment, demonstrating an ability to lead, promote teamwork, and manage and supervise clinical and support staff.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff and patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced, day-to-day clinical environment and effectively address unforeseen circumstances.
