The Role

This role supports students across preschool, primary, and secondary school environments, as well as community-based programs serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It's a dynamic position ideal for a clinician passionate about culturally sensitive and education-focused care.

While our established community-based team provides allied health services within the NDIS, this role will be based only in the school setting (e.g. preschool, primary and secondary). You'll have the opportunity to work alongside state and federal funding programs and non-profit organisations.

As a therapist at Connect2Care, you'll join a multidisciplinary team. Your services will include:

  • Assessing and providing interventions 1:1 for children & adults living with disabilities in the school/education setting.
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to implement evidence-based communication strategies.
  • Offering upskilling and professional development for educators to embed communication strategies in the classroom.
  • Assisting clients and school educators with assistive technology assessment, recommendations, and applications.
  • Writing timely documentation and reports to support education funding submissions and program recommendations.
  • Staff education and upskilling / Professional development to lead educators.
  • Managing a varied caseload aligned to school and student-specific goals.
  • Attending school-based meetings, supervision, and clinical development sessions.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders including families, educators, support coordinators, and community leaders.
  • Working across leading software platforms and digital tools to streamline service delivery and reporting.
