Occupational Therapist Position

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our community on the Sunshine Coast. As a Community OT, you will play a vital role in helping clients live more independently and comfortably in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough functional assessments and provide assistance with daily living activities
  • Develop capacity building programs in home/community settings for optimal results
  • Prescribe necessary home modifications and assistive technology to enhance client care
  • Provide rehabilitation services for clients with stroke, acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, and progressive conditions
  • Advocate for clients and coordinate care across various services including NDIS, Aged Care, DVA, and others

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and professional indemnity insurance
  • Experience working with NDIS is highly regarded but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues
  • A self-driven and team-focused individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the community
