Job Title: Data Center Capacity Engineer

The primary objective of this role is to ensure seamless customer deployments within our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and process requests for data center deployment, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders, including Operations Engineers and Sales Engineers, to discuss project progress and challenges.
  • Design and implement efficient deployment processes, resolving issues through direct communication or escalation to relevant colleagues.
  • Collaborate with Manager or Senior Engineers on complex deployments, developing innovative solutions for sales opportunities.
  • Ensure adequate cooling support through airflow calculations and escalate for CFD modeling if necessary.
  • Verify power support by conducting infrastructure checks and escalating any concerns.
  • Escalate HPD deployment when required.
  • Guarantee design compliance within our data centers, identifying and addressing potential issues related to colocation, density, or sellable space.
  • Escalate site infrastructure-related issues to the DA&E team.
  • Update CAD drawings for proposed designs and deployments.
  • Resolve deployment issues where physical deployment differs from virtual records.
  • Address complex DQM issues, creating USID and associated inventory objects.
  • Collaborate with regional peers and AP project teams to fulfill capacity or customer-related obligations.
  • Provide general information about inventory and infrastructure to stakeholders, escalating complex queries to senior team members.
