Plant Maintenance Technician/Fitter

Remondis Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician/Fitter to join our team at our Dandenong South facility in Victoria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our wastewater treatment plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities to identify and resolve equipment issues before they escalate.
- Diagnose equipment faults, troubleshoot problems, and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment is available for use and functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and spare parts to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Trade certificate in Fitter, Turner, Boilermaker, or Plumber.
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the wastewater treatment plant industry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively with supervisory and management staff.
- Basic computer and maintenance management software knowledge.
As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to provide a copy of a current license, proof of entitlement to work in Australia, and undergo a full medical examination, including a drug and alcohol test.
