Plant Maintenance Technician/Fitter

Remondis Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician/Fitter to join our team at our Dandenong South facility in Victoria.
We are a leading waste management company offering comprehensive collection, treatment, resource recovery, and disposal solutions and services for mining, industrial, commercial, and municipal customers.
As a Plant Maintenance Technician/Fitter, you will be responsible for performing inspection and maintenance on fixed processing plant and other associated equipment, diagnosing equipment faults, and performing necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
You will also conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify and resolve issues before they escalate, follow safety procedures and protocols at all times, and maintain equipment inventory records and ensure the availability of spare parts to minimize equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and machinery
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failure
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment is available for use and functioning properly
- Trade certificate in Fitter, Turner, Boilermaker, or Plumber
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Reliability and ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines
- Mature judgment and initiative to make appropriate decisions
- Commitment to promoting and achieving a high level of customer service
- Ability to communicate and relate well to fellow employees and be part of a team
- Basic computer and maintenance management software knowledge and experience
