About the Role
The Equipment Maintenance Technician provides customers with an exceptional level of service through maintenance/repair of a range of diesel and petrol powered equipment to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain equipment (primarily petrol/gasoline and diesel engine equipment) to required standards so as to ensure our customers receive reliable and fit for-purpose plant and equipment.
- Perform servicing maintenance on the customer site as required, and documentation to render equipment serviceable in accordance with Kennards 'Ready for Hire' Quality Operational Management (QOM) standards.
- Prepare all required documentation for all servicing and maintenance performed for compliance record keeping.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Trade qualified. This may be as a diesel mechanic, diesel fitter, light vehicle mechanic, small engine mechanic, electrician, or similar trades.
- At least 3 years' experience in the field.
- A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions including the ability to both work as part of a team and to work autonomously to complete tasks within required timeframes.
- Time management skills including the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in accordance with changes in priorities.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to follow directions, ask questions to ensure understanding, and proactively provide information to team members.
- The ability to confidently use computers and mobile devices for basic transactional processing.
- A level of physical fitness as required to complete role requirements.
- A valid drivers' licence.
