As a Disability Support Worker, you will deliver quality support that empowers people with disabilities and ageing Australians to live lives of choice and independence. Our mission is to provide personalised support that enables individuals to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Partner with participants and their wider support networks to achieve identified outcomes, ensuring seamless coordination and effective communication.
- Implement and adhere to Individual Support Plans, tailoring support strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Support daily living activities, including housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation, promoting autonomy and dignity.
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, eating, medication, healthcare, and mobility, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Provide access to community activities and group events, fostering social connections and a sense of belonging.
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes, ensuring timely reporting and informed decision-making.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the NDIS and its principles, applying knowledge to ensure high-quality support.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate, ensuring you are equipped to respond to emergencies.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance, enabling safe transportation.
- A current Positive Notice - Blue Card, guaranteeing your suitability to work with vulnerable populations.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Card, verifying your commitment to integrity and accountability.
- An understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct, upholding professional standards and ethics.
- The ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in Australia, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
