Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the support of Aviation Maintenance for the Air Combat Electronic Attack (ACEA) Program at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for equipment maintenance to contribute to the success of our program. As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising and maintaining Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems, including maintenance activities in support of Product Support Training & Maintenance (PST&M).

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide GSE maintenance support to the ACEA MRO Services team.
  2. Repair, refurbish or replace defective components and perform corrective maintenance activities as required.
  3. Perform GSE and tooling monitoring to ensure scheduled maintenance and calibration activities IAW approved processes and procedures.
  4. Implement continuous improvement by monitoring equipment performance, collecting technical data and evaluating maintenance procedures.
  5. Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring EH&S compliance.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Australian trade level Certificate in a mechanical or GSE discipline.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a diverse team environment.
  • Physical capacity to undertake manual labor and ability to work at heights and outdoors.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to WH&S and Quality Assurance.
  • Hold a C class driver's licence.
