Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for undertaking scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on aeronautical components within the Australian Defence Force Technical and Regulatory airworthiness guidelines.

You will work in a high-calibre team to ensure the operational capability of the RAAF's frontline combat aircraft. Your tasks will include:

  • Undertaking routine maintenance and repairs on avionic and mechanical components
  • Ensuring compliance with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and ISO certifications
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve trade supervisor authorisation for component maintenance

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • A Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics) or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in aircraft or workshop maintenance
  • User familiarity with the ADF Computer Aided Maintenance Management 2 (CAMM2) system
  • An ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance (Negative Vetting 1 level)
