Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in welding practices.

As a Welding Inspector, you will oversee inspections, monitor welder performance, manage qualifications, and maintain documentation to meet project requirements.

Key responsibilities include conducting visual inspections (VI) of welds in line with AS/NZS and ASME codes, managing welder qualifications and records, monitoring welding processes and equipment, recording welding activities, mentoring welding staff, liaising with supervisors and inspectors, and assisting QC/QA teams.

Qualifications:
• Trade qualification in welding or fabrication.
• Preferably AS1796 Welding Supervisor Certificate 10 or equivalent inspector certification (IIW, WTIA, CBIP, or CSWIP 3.1/3.2).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a pressure vessel workshop plus 5 years' trade experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS and ASME welding codes and NDT requirements.
• Proven experience across manual welding processes and automated systems.
