High-Quality Welding Inspector Wanted

We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to ensure the highest quality standards on pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting visual inspections of welds in accordance with AS/NZS and ASME codes.
- Managing welder qualifications, requalification processes, and maintaining records.
- Monitoring welding processes, consumables, and equipment to ensure compliance with procedures.
- Recording welding activities and project work packs.
- Mentoring and developing welding staff to improve skills and reduce defects.
- Liaising with supervisors and inspectors to ensure smooth handovers.
- Assisting quality control teams with documentation and contractor management.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A trade qualification in welding or fabrication.
- Preferably an AS1796 Welding Supervisor Certificate 10 or equivalent inspector certification.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a pressure vessel workshop plus 5 years' trade experience.
- Strong knowledge of AS and ASME welding codes and non-destructive testing requirements.
- Proven experience across manual welding processes and automated systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and mentor under pressure.
