The role of Senior Field Officer is a key position within the regulatory authority responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of early childhood education and care services.
- As a Senior Field Officer, you will work collaboratively with ECEC services to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance their performance.
- You will conduct regular visits to ECEC services to monitor their compliance with national standards and provide guidance on how to meet these requirements.
- In addition to your fieldwork, you will also be involved in investigating complaints and undertaking quality assessments to identify areas for improvement.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. You will need to have a deep understanding of early childhood education frameworks and best practices, as well as the ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular monitoring and compliance checks at ECEC services
- Investigate complaints and undertake quality assessments
- Provide guidance and support to ECEC services to improve their performance
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including ECEC service providers, families and community groups
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- ECEC sector experience, preferably in a leadership or management role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A deep understanding of early childhood education frameworks and best practices
- The ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements
